A 430 ESSA update + Commercial Retail Space

We are pleased and excited to announce that 430 ESSA has officially sold out! From all of us at One Urban, we’d like to extend gratitude toward our purchasers, and cooperating teams who worked alongside us on this achievement. Occupancy is slated for the end of 2021.

As all of the residential units have been sold, there are commercial units still available for lease at 430 ESSA. One Urban is currently seeking out businesses to become part of this new purpose-built community in the heart of Barrie.

With over 40 years of real estate development, our extensive real estate portfolio is rooted from management in commercial retail and industrial sectors. Utilizing our knowledge and experience throughout the years, we have curated these spaces to benefit both our purchasers and future lease tenants. “These commercial units were designed to accommodate efficiency and accessibility offering wide layouts, as opposed to traditional narrow and deep layouts, with exposed window views and natural light throughout the unit.” says One Urban’s COO, Nick Stillo.  “Many municipalities mandate developers to include retail spaces at the ground level in mixed-use buildings, and these spaces typically become afterthoughts because the primary focus is put on the residential units. In contrast, our history is rooted in retail shoppes and we know how to program those spaces and curate a mix of tenants that truly benefits the community.” says Stillo.

Contributing to the community in a meaningful way, One Urban is seeking small businesses such as dentists, quick-service restaurants, medical clinics, fitness studios, hair stylists, etc. to become part of the available commercial space. “We believe that incorporating businesses geared toward improving every-day living is the key to creating a self-sustaining community.” says One Urban’s CFO, Joe Villar.
