Giving back to the community this holiday season

Nearing the end of a year full of unprecedented times, giving back to our community holds more meaning than ever. 

This holiday season, One Urban has partnered with Food for Life in Oakville. The organization holds the largest food and rescue program in the Halton region. Serving the community, they have worked to prioritize those who are isolated during the pandemic, especially seniors. As fellow members, and future builders within the Oakville community, One Urban stands behind Food for Life’s vision of providing everyone access to healthy food.

One Urban has been working closely with Food for Life to donate 17,000 lbs of boneless turkey breasts which will be cooked and delivered to 2,500 families in need. One Urban was also planning to assist Food For Life at their sorting facilities, however, with an abundance of caution towards COVID-19 restrictions, the current operations have been shifted to progress at a later point in time. We look forward to sharing our time with Food for Life in the new year, where our team of 28 volunteers will be sorting and packing food alongside them.
